Dr. David Liu is a triple-board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Addiction Medicine with over two decades of leadership in clinical care, public health, and health equity. He has served as Chief Medical Officer at multiple organizations, including Imperial Health Holdings and tribal and community health centers across California and Hawai‘i.

Dr. Liu earned his MD from St. George’s University, a JD from the William S. Richardson School of Law, and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Physicians, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine, he is nationally recognized for his scholarship on Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander health disparities, social determinants of health, and addiction treatment.

In addition to his executive roles, Dr. Liu is an accomplished educator, researcher, and published author with extensive service on editorial boards and public health advisory bodies. He is fluent in Hawaiian and Samoan and remains committed to culturally responsive, community-centered healthcare.
