Dr. Ernie Guzman first realized he wanted to be a doctor at the age of five, when he received a toy doctor’s kit. “From that time on,” says Dr. Guzman, “I never gave up that goal. The altruistic idea of helping people get well remains the backbone of my practice.”
Born in New York City, Dr. Guzman graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, completed his internship and residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and then went on to become involved in many professional organizations. Described as personable and approachable by both his patients and peers, Dr. Guzman’s practice emphasizes preventative care and teaching parents how to care for minor illnesses at home.
“The personal experience of being a father is enhancing my hands-on practical experience,” says Dr. Guzman, whose favorite hobby is spending time with his wife and sons.
